Aged Steel scissor lamp was designed, curated, and assembled entirely from parts, fittings, and hardware either salvaged or reclaimed from the early to late 1930s.
It features a primary accordion-like solid iron structure comprised of an extra-long set of Western Electric extension arms. It was salvaged from a height-adjustable dispatch mechanism that initially included a corresponding spring and base plate. This wide-ranging task light can reach a maximum distance of 40 inches and fully retract to just one foot off the adjoining wall. It can conveniently stow away or move aside quickly when necessary.
