Antique American folk art whirligig man sawing wood wind spinner 1920's

$600.00

Year: 1920’s

A true original piece of hand made American folk art - the windmill drives a series of mental linkages which in turn makes the man saw the wood

These are all one off pieces made from what was lying around on a farm etc so completely original

This example is from the early 20th century and whilst the farmer has an injured leg would work really well to scare the birds off your veg patch or to just have a lovely thing to look at indoors or out
This is a piece best admired indoors as I am not sure how it would cope with continuous hard wind - it is in well used condition asper the images but does work mechanically as you can see from the video
It is mounted on a piece of hardwood and stands alone so would look great as a centre piece or part if some ones whirligig collection
